i ain't no two trip bitch meme

We have parcel lockers that all our packages get delivered to on the first floor of my apartment building. Between Amazon, my subscriptions, and all the shit I buy off instagram LOL I sometimes get multiple packages a day.

I have a cart that I let my dad borrow so he can lug his guitar and amp when he jams with his friends, so last week I was trying to balance several packages in my arms with Milo in tow in the elevator and some packages kept slipping out of my arms. This guy who was in the elevator with me picked up my packages and asked if I needed help, and his girlfriend looked annoyed. I respectfully declined LOL. Another day, this couple got off on the same floor as me, and I was trying to carry multiple packages again plus Milo. I dropped some packages and stopped to pick them up. The girl walked past me into their apartment and the guy stayed behind and helped me pick up my packages.

Chivalry ain’t dead, y’all! Also, are there no single guys in this building?! 😅

    dude.

when i got my new mattress, it was rolled up in a big ass box as tall as me, and i had to borrow the bell cart from the front desk to haul it up to my apartment. the girl working the front desk saw me struggling for like 10 minutes to just get it on the bell cart to get it out of the mail room and was finally like, ‘do you need help?’ girl, obviously!

another time, pammie slept over and we were leaving butt crack early for the airport. we take the elevator down and this guy gets on the elevator and pammie says, ‘good morning’ and he doesn’t answer. then he gets off on the first floor with us, gets off the elevator first and opens the door out of the building and lets it shut in pammie’s face bc she’s right behind him LOL. this is why i don’t talk to my neighbors unless they talk to me first ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it was like when i was living in LA, this guy who moved in my building from across the country, he put a note introducing himself and his dog with some candy on everyone’s door. i was like, ‘this is LA. we don’t do that here.’ lol i don’t remember his name, but i remember his dog 😆

is it different in the ‘burbs?

Aye sheesh! I grew up not knowing my neighbors anywhere we lived. I remember once when we lived in PQ, some kids came to our house asking if we wanted to come out and play. My mom shut it down fast coz no way she was letting us outside without supervision, and she didnt have time to socialize. But it’s different in our neighborhood now. Theres actually a lot of kids around the same age as our kids. I actually came home today to cal and the kids out in our driveway with 3 other dads with their kids, all playing. Im sure it wears on cal’s social battery…but adults start to get friendly if it means their kids are happy with their friends. Even for me, as social as I can be, school parents and neighbor parents require energy. We usually only muster it up for the kids. So it doesnt matter if ur in the burbs or the city. The difference are the kids. The houses in our neighborhood without kids mostly keep to themselves. Coz i know if it was jes cal and i, we’d never try to hang with the neighbors. We have friends already. But im not as bad as the people ur describing. Ill still be friendly when our paths cross! Come on now! Lol
