I will reference <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=d8k__drj7Lo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">So I Married an Axe Murderer<\/a><\/em> till the day I die.<\/p>\n<p>2. I stay ready with that mini Tajin in my purse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/david-donna-cole.jpg\" alt=\"\u201cdavid\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Congrats to my dear friends, Donna and David! I had originally planned to go to Chicago for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lollapalooza.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lollapalooza<\/a> that week, but I went to Kauai for their vow renewal instead and had the greatest time!<\/p>\n<p>I was still in high school when they first got married twenty years ago. If my sister and I were running late to class, we&#8217;d skip first period and hang out at their apartment instead. Donna was a bad influence on us then, and she still is today! Ha. She dared me to jump off a cliff into the kids&#8217; pool at the resort we were staying at. She jumped first, but she&#8217;s also a foot shorter than me! Shoutout to Captain Kalen of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g60619-d7590332-Reviews-Blue_Ocean_Adventure_Tours-Kekaha_Kauai_Hawaii.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blue Ocean Adventure Tours<\/a> for the dope playlist and all the laughs! Def book a tour with them if you&#8217;re ever in Kauai.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/napali-sea-cave.gif\" alt=\"blue ocean adventure tours napali sea caves kauai\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This raft tour was pretty wild. You basically sit on the side of an inflatable zodiac boat with nothing but a rope over your foot and the hand of God keeping you in as you zip up the coast at crazy speeds!<\/p>\n<p>I was surprised Pammie agreed to join me because she is notorious for getting sea sick (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/?p=22987\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caborette Booze Cruise 2015<\/a>, anyone?). She thought she fully prepared herself this time around, but no amount of ginger pills, essential oils, sea-bands or prayers could keep her from getting sick. All things considered, she and her husband still had fun!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/contrib\/110769722869760952837\/photos\/@21.9950123,-159.3551132,3a,75y,90t\/data=!3m7!1e2!3m5!1sAF1QipOwpfIuz2wXeVjOrJjt1yUPd2BJfBfoA6ZVmsgb!2e10!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipOwpfIuz2wXeVjOrJjt1yUPd2BJfBfoA6ZVmsgb%3Dw365-h473-k-no!7i3024!8i3924!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/kauai-backcountry-adventures-bamboo-grove.jpg\" alt=\"kauai backcountry adventures bamboo grove\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This magical bamboo forest led us to the lazy river where we went mountain tubing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/kauai-backcountry-adventures-tubing.gif\" alt=\"kauai backcountry adventures mountain tubing\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They all float (@ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g60623-d630025-Reviews-Kauai_Backcountry_Adventures-Lihue_Kauai_Hawaii.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kauai Backcountry Adventures<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve never gone tubing down an old sugar plantation irrigation system, then I really don&#8217;t know what you&#8217;re doing with your life.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/saimin.jpg\" alt=\"hamura saimin kauai\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We hit up this hole in the wall, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Hamura+Saimin\/@21.9716315,-159.3834244,14z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x7c071e918d13ef89:0x215826172739a1d0!8m2!3d21.9716312!4d-159.3659149\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hamura Saimin<\/a>, after Jessie told us it was her husband&#8217;s favorite restaurant in Kauai. While we were waiting for a table, I noticed Jason Momoa&#8217;s kids in line next to us (because I&#8217;m a creep and I know what his kids look like). They were accompanied by a local who was super friendly with everyone in the restaurant. We were seated at a communal table next to them when Jason Momoa strolled in and sat down behind me! I started sweating, partly because I was eating hot noodle soup in the humidest place on earth, but mostly because I was sitting back to back with Khal fuckin&#8217; Drogo, and I could feel his goddamn body heat!<\/p>\n<p>My friends stayed in Kauai longer than us and saw him two more times!
