After she was better, my mom was all like, \u201cDo you still want the lord to take you now?\u201d \ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t believe I go back to work tomorrow. I haven\u2019t worked since <a href=\"http:\/\/mayanrocks.com\/?p=34595\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the incident<\/a>, but my work only covers health benefits for 6 months of medical leave, so I have to go back so my benefits don&#8217;t lapse. Time sure flies when you\u2019ve had a couple of minor strokes \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powerball.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Powerball<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megamillions.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mega<\/a> are both up. Anyone want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/culture\/2022-in-review\/the-year-in-quiet-quitting#:~:text=\u201cI%20recently%20learned%20about%20this,has%20to%20be%20your%20life.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><s>quiet quit<\/s><\/a> go halfsies on a lotto ticket with me???<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update 7\/16\/2023:<\/strong> No one has won <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powerball.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Powerball<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megamillions.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mega<\/a> \ud83d\ude2c My coworker was like, \u201cIf I won the lotto, I\u2019d probably still work,\u201d and I was like, \u201cIf I won the lotto, you\u2019d never see me again!\u201d I used to think that I couldn\u2019t <em>not<\/em> work, but after 6 months of not working, it turns out I totally can \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/cali-lotto.jpg\" alt=\"lotto\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This reminds me of the time my grandma was sick and she kept saying, \u201cTake me now, Lord!\u201d so my mom took her to the hospital.
