{"id":36904,"date":"2023-08-31T14:33:50","date_gmt":"2023-08-31T21:33:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mayanrocks.com\/?p=36904"},"modified":"2023-08-31T14:33:50","modified_gmt":"2023-08-31T21:33:50","slug":"die-young","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mayanrocks.com\/?p=36904","title":{"rendered":"Die Young."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5Gh8hdjcU4E?si=SQOJd1Nflywy97Oc\" width=\"435\" height=\"245\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I bought tickets to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lagreektheatre.com\/events\/detail\/sylvan-esso-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sylvan Esso at The Greek<\/a> tonight thinking I&#8217;d be back in LA by now, but I haven&#8217;t started driving yet, so I&#8217;m still at my sister&#8217;s in SD.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The last time I was in Phoenix, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/amp\/news\/waymo-phoenix-tests-self-driving-vans-on-public-roads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google was testing their self-driving cars<\/a> and I remember thinking, \u201cI\u2019d never get in one of those.\u201d 5 years and 2 strokes later, I\u2019m seriously considering getting a Tesla so I never have to drive again (even though I still don\u2019t trust self-driving cars or Elon Musk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last time I drove was before <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/mayanrocks.com\/?p=34595\" target=\"_blank\">the incident<\/a> when I drove myself to <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/3XwT5KoAYKZp5ksd6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urgent care<\/a>. The doctor was like, \u201cYou drove yourself here?!\u201d To be fair, urgent care is up the street from my apartment. They wanted me to take an ambulance to the <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/e3iwDR7uDu6fa5R58\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ER<\/a>, but I was like, \u201cI\u2019ll just have my friend, Nori, take me.\u201d I spent the next five days in the hospital, my sister and her husband picked my car up from the urgent care parking lot the next day, and the rest is history\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bought tickets to Sylvan Esso at The Greek tonight thinking I&#8217;d be back in LA by now, but I haven&#8217;t started driving yet, so I&#8217;m still at my sister&#8217;s in SD.
