I used to get my brows done here 20 years ago, and I haven&#8217;t found a new brow lady (or <a href=\"https:\/\/mayanrocks.com\/?p=367420\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nail lady<\/a>) near me downtown since I moved back to SD, so I thought I&#8217;d revisit my old stomping grounds.<\/p>\n<p>I used to work at the bank across the street when it was Washington Mutual &#8211; it&#8217;s still a bank, but it&#8217;s Chase now. There was construction and scaffolding throughout the mall, but Super Brows was still there, along with Jamba Juice, Panda Express, Rubio&#8217;s and the movie theatre. Barnes and Noble was boarded up and closed, though. End of an era! I used to spend hours at this Barnes and Noble &#8211; writing papers for school, when you still needed actual books and couldn&#8217;t look up everything on the internet or use ChatGBT &#8211; &#8216;the 1900s&#8217; as the kids say.<\/p>\n<p>I used to treat myself to coffee and a sweet treat at the Starbucks inside the Barnes and Noble. I remember one time I was so excited to eat my pastry, I opened the bag in my then-boyfriend&#8217;s car and it was empty. My first thought: Did this fucker eat my chocolate croissant? We traced our steps back to the now-closed Starbucks and I saw my croissant on the floor of the parking lot. Turns out I was holding the bag upside down and the pastry fell out without me noticing \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, I haven&#8217;t changed much since that pastry incident, but this mall sure has \ud83d\ude2e\u200d\ud83d\udca8<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I went to Grossmont today to get my brows threaded.
