Anthony invited us over for a potluck dinner tonight, so I thought I&#8217;d go a different route and make something I&#8217;d actually eat. I&#8217;m no cook by any stretch of the imagination, but bacon-wrapped jalape\u00f1o cream cheese poppers seemed simple enough.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/jalapenocreamcheesepoppers1.jpg\" alt=\"bacon wrapped jalapeno cream cheese poppers\" height=\"326\" width=\"435\"\/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mayanrocks.com\/blog\/jalapenocreamcheesepoppers2.jpg\" alt=\"bacon wrapped jalapeno cream cheese poppers\" height=\"326\" width=\"435\"\/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve eaten jalape\u00f1os on nachos, burgers, sushi&#8230; but I&#8217;ve never handled a raw jalape\u00f1o before, let alone thirty of them. And now I&#8217;ve got jalape\u00f1o burn! I didn&#8217;t even know that existed until I googled, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/#hl=en&#038;q=how+do+I+get+my+hands+to+stop+burning+after+handling+jalapenos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">how do I get my hands to stop burning after handling jalapenos?<\/a>&#8221; The pain caused from de-seeding the jalape\u00f1os with my bare hands feels something akin to shoving bamboo splinters under my finger nails.
