My sister has a fancy ass rice cooker<\/a>, and Christine sent us home yesterday with some homemade sinigang<\/a> that was perfect for this rainy day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve never made rice in this cooker before, and I was like, “How do you know when it’s done?” She was like, “It plays a little song.” I was like, “I’ve been in my bedroom for the past half hour. IDK if it played the song yet.” I open it and it’s still a little wet on the bottom. I wasn’t sure if it wasn’t done yet, or if I put too much water (my rice always ends up notoriously mushy, which is why I hardly ever make it). But then I closed the lid, and it said “3 MINUTES TILL COMPLETION,” and I’ve been laughing for a million years because I’m a child.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
