It’s hard to complain about exercising with a view like this…

Yesterday, I hiked at Torrey Pines with Shi, and I was DYING. I haven’t worked out in… what month is it now? My exercise ball has been sitting in the backseat of my car as a constant reminder that I haven’t worked out since Arlene moved to Monterey. I weighed myself yesterday to assess the damage, and I’ve only gained 6 pounds, surprisingly. I was expecting upwards of 15 or 20, but I guess it’s hard to tell if my clothes are fitting tighter when I’ve been getting all this mileage out of my leggings! Ha. I’m finally back on the grind, though. Arlene pretty much threatened my life before she left town, and I don’t doubt she would cut me if I gained back all that weight she helped me lose.

My goal is to look better at 30 than I did at 21. Considering I wore brown chola lip liner when I was 21, I’d say this goal may have already been reached. Ha.

  3. Arlene aka your worst gym nightmare was all like...

    SO, coming home today after having a GREAT workout at the gym, I realized how much I miss having my workout buddies. In case your wondering who I’m talking about, I’m talking about YOU and SHI, and the occasional other victims err I mean buddies ;-). Anyway. I’ve been religiously going to the gym for about a month now (5-6 days a week and sometimes twice a day) and I feel GREAT! I’ve been taking everything from RIPPED-YOGA-BOOT CAMP-TURBO KICK- and AB CORE! I also lift weights with Chris about 4 days a week. Did I mention they have onsite daycare?!! 🙂 Anyway. I’m telling you this because even though you guys thought I was doing you guys a favor by coming to my CASA DE TORTURA and letting me yell and beat you for months on end, You were also doing a great thing for me by keeping me accountable for my shit and also keeping me distracted from my daily responsibilities as a mother of FOUR insane monsters and a husband who was always deployed. I know time has passed since I moved away in June. I have a little more than a year and a half left here in Monterey and I plan to make something out of it. I have fallen in love with a new workout, it’s called R.I.P.P.E.D. U.S.A. I love it so much that by the end of this year I’m planning to get certified. As soon as I get certified for that then I’m going for my ACE (that one takes months to prepare for). My goal is by the time we get back to SD (fingers crossed) in 19 months I will not only be certified in R.I.P.P.E.D. but SEVERAL other group exercises. Not that I’m threatening you guys in any way shape or form (that would be illegal-admissible in a court of law, plus you know that’s now my style) But more of a warning to all my bitches back home! I am going to expect you all to be front and center where ever I teach. So if I were you guys I would start doing suicides like… YESTERDAY!! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS YOU ALL!
