I spent more than that on Milo’s recent emergency vet visit, so I didn’t even bat an eye at the price. It was either pay to fix it, or buy a new car, and I’d rather pay to fix it in the meantime than drop money on a brand new car right now.

So my dad took my car back to the mechanic who ‘fixed’ my A/C last week, and the guy was like, ‘Oh maybe there’s a leak – it’s gonna cost more to fix it.’ Duh, there’s a fucking leak! Why didn’t you check that before recharging it with freon?! So my dad takes it to this other mechanic who finds the leak, repairs it, then recharges it with freon. The lights on my dashboard have miraculously turned off, but they have been off and on, so I know it’s eventually gonna light up again.
I’m driving home from my parents’ house with my hair blowing in the A/C, and my check engine light comes on before I even leave their street. I just want to go home and relax in my apartment (that I remotely turned on the A/C at hours before bc I wanted it nice and cold when I got home) and sleep in my own bed, so I keep driving. It’s about a 20-minute drive and a straight shot down the 94 home. All the other lights come on on my dashboard when I’m on the 94 and my car starts jolting forward. Do I pull over? Keep driving? Is this how I die? I was like 5 minutes from my apartment and I barely made it home by the skin of my teeth. I’ve already dropped $700 into fixing the A/C, now I have to take it to a legit Mazda dealership to see what the fuck else is wrong with it.
Timing is horrible – I have 7 upcoming concerts (1 this weekend, and 5 of which I don’t have tickets for yet but am def still going LOL). I’m on vacay next week (just going up to LA), but we were supposed to take my car, so now we have to rent a car! I could cut my losses and just buy a new car, but Iâm not in the market for a new car rn and I donât like being forced into making a decision – I drove a rental for 6 months after I totaled my previous car bc I couldnât decide what car to buy ð Also, I have too many upcoming expenses on top of the unexpected recent expenses (i.e. Milo’s emergency vet scare).
I also have 7 (!) massive bug bites from being at the outdoor wedding celebration last weekend – one on my foot, one on my arm, four on my thighs, and one on my butt (why my ass gotta be so sweet?!). I was wearing a dress and sitting in the grass. It has been unseasonably humid in San Diego, which apparently is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitos. I don’t remember the last time I had a bug bite – I keep my apartment at a cool ass 70° where bugs can’t thrive ð
I thought I lost my passport (that I just renewed last year!) when I moved back to SD from LA. I couldn’t find it when I was flying domestically earlier this year to use in lieu of the Real ID I still didn’t have at the time, so I reported it lost thinking I could easily get a replacement – Turns out they void your old passport, make you pay the full fee for a new one, and show up in person with your birth certificate to prove your identification. And, I found my old passport in a random moving box, but I had already reported it lost
All that to say, I finally made an appointment to get my passport, even though I have no plans to travel internationally anytime soon. I printed my passport application and attached a photo I took for my passport last year since Kinko’s gave me extras.

I got my A/C fixed last week, and it worked when I drove my car home, but it was back to blowing hot air again on the way to my passport appointment and it was over fucking 90° – My dad is taking my car back to the mechanic who ‘fixed’ it today so he could put some knuckle in his eyeballs!
I thought my application was properly filled out, but they asked me to fill in the blanks – does my dad have a middle name, what cities in the Philippines are my parents from, what is the confirmation # I got when I reported my passport lost in the beginning of the year… Like, I brought my old passport that I reported lost and found. Clearly, I am who I am.
I made the mistake of bringing the passport I reported lost, bc she saw that the picture I attached was the same one from my last passport – She said that the picture has to be taken within 6 months, and she needs to take a new one of me. How would anyone know?! I look the same. I was prepared to take that original photo, so I’m wearing makeup in it, my lashes are done, and I’m wearing a decent top. I thought I would be in and out like a robbery this time, so I just threw my hair in a top knot, didn’t wear a stitch of makeup, and wore my ‘Future Corpse’ shirt. I was sweaty bc my car’s A/C was broken. I was a hot mess express and this picture is gonna be on my passport for the next decade ð
My friend got a nose job and had to bring a letter from her plastic surgeon when she traveled bc she looked nothing like her passport photo afterwards ð Do I need to do something similar? ‘I swear that’s me – I don’t usually look like garbage’ ð
Christine and Francis celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary by renewing their vows and having the afterparty at a brewery. I missed their first wedding bc I was living in LA, but am so happy I got to celebrate with them now ðĨđ

I was actually at their first date at a Padres game! We had just come back from Jessie’s bachelorette in Cabo, and I drove back up to LA. When I got home, Christine calls and was like, ‘You wanna go to the Padres game tomorrow?’ I rallied and drove back down to SD, and witnessed the love story from the beginning!
When I was still living in LA, Christine was up there for work and stayed the night at my apartment. She was very pregnant with her first child and I remember 2 things from that night – 1. Before we went to sleep, she asked me what side of the bed I slept on. Usually, when I have guests sleep over, they sleep on the couch, so her question surprised me LOL. I wasn’t gonna make a preggo sleep on the couch, so I was like, ‘Left!’ (you should be writing this down). 2. Francis called her before she went to bed and they had the sweetest conversation which dismissed any qualms I had about their whirlwind relationship.

My car is leaking oil, the A/C went out in my car a few weeks ago (it’s just blowing room temp air), and my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree the other day – check engine light, a car icon with squiggly lines, and an icon that looks like a butt (google says it’s my tire pressure light). I hardly drive now since I moved back to SD – I live downtown, so I walk everywhere I can, and I work from home, so I don’t have to commute anywhere. An entire week could go by where I don’t drive my car, yet the problems keep piling up.
I bought this car brand new in 2014, and it’s the longest I’ve had one car (12 years and 160K+ miles). I’ve never had the A/C run out on me, never had a check engine light go on in my previous cars. The mechanic was able to fix my A/C today for relatively cheap – Luckily, there was nothing wrong with the A/C system, and I just needed a recharge. We’ll tackle the rest of my car’s problems next week, but the mechanic assures me my car is safe to drive ð
It might be time to start looking for a new car, but that’ll have to wait till after all my concerts next month ð

Yes, 4 of them are for BTS ð They have 4 shows in LA the first week of September, and we don’t have tickets yet, but we rented an airbnb, I took the week off work, we planned our outfits, made our freebies, and I’m just gonna manifest that we get tickets for every show ÂŊ\_(ã)_/ÂŊ It’s their last stop in the US and the first show is Jung Kook’s birthday, so it’s important I be there LOL.
This tactic goes against every Type A bone in Pammie’s body. Stubhub stops their ticket sales hours before the show starts, but Seatgeek still sells tickets after the show has already started, so we’re planning on buying cheap seats and hopefully upgrading after the show starts.

We have parcel lockers that all our packages get delivered to on the first floor of my apartment building. Between Amazon, my subscriptions, and all the shit I buy off instagram LOL I sometimes get multiple packages a day.
I have a cart that I let my dad borrow so he can lug his guitar and amp when he jams with his friends, so last week I was trying to balance several packages in my arms with Milo in tow in the elevator and some packages kept slipping out of my arms. This guy who was in the elevator with me picked up my packages and asked if I needed help, and his girlfriend looked annoyed. I respectfully declined LOL. Another day, this couple got off on the same floor as me, and I was trying to carry multiple packages again plus Milo. I dropped some packages and stopped to pick them up. The girl walked past me into their apartment and the guy stayed behind and helped me pick up my packages.

Shi and I watched a meteor shower together many moons ago, and it felt like we were in a movie – countless giant fireballs hurtling through the sky above us at Torrey Pines State Beach! It was my first meteor shower (and the best one)! We were supposed to watch a second one together, and I regrettably ditched her for a boy that I don’t even talk to anymore ð
I saw that a good place to view the Perseid Meteor Shower was Mt. Laguna, but I haven’t been there since college when I went for extra credit in my Astronomy class to view shit at the observatory. It was like TheBlair Witch Project up in that bitch – pitch black and def not somewhere I should be going alone in the middle of the night. The Leonid Meteor Shower (that we first saw together) will peak in November (16 years to the day we first saw them!), so we made plans to go watch it at Mt. Laguna together to relive our youth ðĩðŧ

Welp, I renewed my lease on my downtown apartment even though the Padres postseason is uncertain and the park across the street pushed its debut yet another month. I had to make a game-time decision before the rates went up, and I really didn’t want to deal with finding a new place to live, even though I’ve had a less than stellar experience these past few months – Most notably, the maintenance guy who helped during my smoke alarm incident snitched that I had a dog – he was a nice guy, so I think he may have just mentioned it in passing while he was having lunch with the front desk staff bc I went down there to get my mail and he said hello – I got the email about having an unreported dog in my apartment shortly after. Milo was quiet, didn’t bark or make a sound or bother him at all when he was here. My building is pet-friendly, but I never mentioned to them that I had a dog – they charge an additional pet deposit and monthly fee (that can be waived with an ESA letter). I have an Emotional Support Animal letter that I got online when I first got Milo, so I gave that to them when the leasing office emailed me. They denied my ESA letter, bc apparently there’s diff rules in California for ESAs, and I needed documentation from a doctor in California and not some physician from the east coast I paid on the internet ðĪŠ So I made a virtual appointment with my PCP (who’s still in LA), and she wrote me an ESA letter that day – she’s been my PCP since I had my stroke and is very accommodating, helping me get short-term disability, medical leave from work, a permanent handicap placard, and now an ESA letter so I don’t have to pay extra housing fees to have a dog (the perks of having a stroke, otherwise 0/10 do not recommend). I sent it to the leasing office, and they said it could take up to 2 weeks for them to review it – which is laughable bc it took them less than an hour to deny my first ESA letter. If they denied my new letter and were gonna charge me additional monthly fees to have a dog, I def wasn’t gonna renew my lease. They approved it and waived all the fees, so I’m here for at least another year. Hopefully, the park across the street will be done before then (it was supposed to be open last fall!), but at this rate, I’m just hoping construction will be completed before I’m on social security ðĩðŧ
I had a list of places I wanted to eat at in NYC, but the humidity made it impossible to travel anywhere, so we spent most of our time in air-conditioned food halls and ate breakfast in the hotel.
Partly bc Grand Central had a BTS takeover, but mostly bc the station was air-conditioned (@ Grand Central Terminal)

We ventured to Soho to pick up a viral cinnamon roll from Loser’s Eating House, but took a rideshare back to the hotel and doordashed NYC’s iconic bagels and baked goods.
Humidity is a different beast. I can take the dry heat of California or Phoenix or Vegas, but this wet heat??? ðĨī We went to Cabo for Jessie’s bachelorette around this time in the summer, and the humidity made me want to punch a baby. I went to Alicia’s wedding in Vegas the week after, and the dry heat was a welcome reprieve from the humidity in Cabo. We met people at the show who had traveled from Thailand and Florida and they said this weather was nothing compared to where they live – Well, I live in California, so please excuse the ice ring around my neck and my portable fan ð
The lines just to get into MetLife Stadium were insane, but that’s also where people exchange lots of freebies, so it was def a tradeoff.
Crossing over to New Jersey for the concert with a rideshare was easy peasy, but coming back to the city was a nightmare. We didn’t get home the first night till one in the morning! It was impossible to get a rideshare out of MetLife Stadium after the show. We had to take multiple forms of public transportation – the bus, the subway – Our ordeal with public transit can be summed up by something I overheard this guy say at the train station – ‘When did people stop wearing deodorant???’ ðĪĢ
People were generally in good spirits despite the crowds, and they were v appreciative of the freebies Pammie and I passed out!

Day 2 was amazing – Yes, I went both days ð We had suite tickets and got awesome freebies from everyone in the suite. The crowd was more hype than the day before, and the energy was insane. It started raining halfway through the show, and we didn’t even notice bc we were in an air-conditioned suite with free food and drinks and amazing seats under a concrete awning.
One good thing about an outdoor stadium – the fireworks were wild! I’ve only seen BTS in an indoor stadium (Allegiant in Vegas) and upcoming shows at SoFi in LA, so while the indoor shows are air-conditioned, we didn’t experience all the pyro!
It was like watching Tame Impala in Hollywood/NYC vs. Phoenix – All were outdoors, but the festival grounds in Phoenix are next to the airport and directly under the flight path, so they had airspace restrictions. Tame Impala normally has a sick ass light show, but they had to keep it contained inside the stage in Phoenix.
Going home was also a nightmare, even though we had a plan of action – Take the bus out of Metlife to Secaucas. Take the subway from Secaucus to Penn Station. Walk 2 blocks to the hotel. Everyone else had the same idea from dealing with the nightmare of getting home the night before (no one ever attends one BTS concert in a city when they have multiple dates!), plus it was raining.
We packed when we got to our hotel, and slept for 2 hours before we had to get up again for our flight home! We overslept by 45 minutes, and left the hotel an hour before our plane boarded – It takes an hour to get to the airport from our hotel. Our rideshare was the worst – He didn’t get out to help us with our luggage – I get it, you’re an Uber driver and it’s not your job, but you selected a ride to the airport – ofc we’re gonna have luggage, and be a fucking gentleman, my guy. It smelled like spoiled Indian food and B/O in the car – Again, when did people stop wearing deodorant? LOL. I cracked open my window, and he closed it bc it was raining. My sister asked him multiple times to turn on the A/C bc it kept turning off and we were dying with the humidity and the smell. It was an electric car, and he made some excuse about how it’s raining outside so it probably keeps turning off bc it’s already cold outside. To quote my grandma, ‘Did you think I was born yesterday?’ I had to put Bath & Body Works sanitizer on my hands and breathe it in so I wouldn’t pass out from the smell. He got so lost driving circles around the airport – At one point, he drove into an employee parking area, and drove over a median to get back on track. He kept blaming the rain for getting him turned around. We finally got to the airport with minutes to board. Pammie has all the things – Priority Boarding, Global Entry, Clear, and TSA Pre-Check. I rarely travel internationally, so I let my Global Entry and TSA Pre-Check lapse last year. My sister got through TSA within minutes, but I had to stand in the regular line with the gen-pop and get sniffed by drug dogs. Pammie was so worried I wasn’t gonna make it, but I literally made it 10 minutes before they closed the gate. Luckily, I was in the last boarding group! LOL. She got me a water and fruit plate for me to eat on the plane while she waited for me to get through TSA.
Pammie is Type A as fuck, and was STRESSING. I am Type B through and through, and just knew it would work out and I’d make it on the plane ÂŊ\_(ã)_/ÂŊ
I slept through most of the flight home, then slept again for 5 hours once I got home. 4 days later, and your girl is still tired ðĪŠ
I picked Milo up from my parents after coming back from NYC, and I couldn’t find his dog leash when I got home. I thought I left it in my car or my parents’ house, but we couldn’t find it. I was taking my CVS bag out of the fridge this morning (some of my meds have to be refrigerated, so I just put the whole bag in there when I picked it up from the pharmacy last week), and I found his leash inside the CVS bag ð
Many moons ago, I was going to Vegas with my ex and friends, and I couldn’t find my driver’s license. I had the face of the minor back then LOL, so I def needed to bring it with me. Guess where I eventually found it? In my then-boyfriend’s freezer with a bag of popsicles I bought earlier that day.
