Jon Favreau and Roy Choi hosted an El Jefe pop-up from one of my favorite movies tonight! Chef was everything, and so was this sandwich (and so was this soundtrack!).
ugh!!! adam perry lang and franklin’s bbq had an austin bbq pop-up inside animal while they sold el jefe cubanos outside the resto. i’ve been dying to try their bbq, but i opted for cubanos instead (partly because i don’t know anyone up here whose love for bbq runs deep like mine, but mostly because it was $85 a person and they were booked both nights).
was franklin’s bbq everything the internet promised it would be???
It was soooo good! I think we ordered like 3lbs of meat for just Hubby and I and WE ATE IT ALL. We went before they were featured in commercials, movies, and on TV and the line was already outrageous. I can’t even imagine what it’s like now!
Oh my goodness! I loved that movie! Franklins BBQ was totally worth standing in line for…twice!
