Another day, another government shutdown 🙄
We got a message from Southwest that the government shutdown may delay and affect flights, so we went to the airport buttcrack early for our flight that wasn’t leaving until noon.
Everything seemed business as usual, and we went through TSA without a hitch. Luckily, Pammie has a Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card which gives us access to the club lounge with free food and drinks. There was this cute airstream with the most delicious Mexican food, which I washed down with my favorite Horchata Cold Brew Oat Latte from Peet’s.
We hung out in the lounge for a while before heading to our gate, where we met a woman who was on a layover on her way back home to Hawaii. We mentioned we were just in town for the music festival and Spring Training, and she casually was like, ‘Oh, I work for a baseball team.’ ‘WHICH TEAM?’ we ask. She was like, ‘The Savannah Bananas!’ I told her I’m going to the Banana Ball game at Petco next month! 🍌⚾ We’re instagram friends now, and I’m def hitting her up when I go.
I saw that the Padres were hiring a Senior Graphic Designer, but the salary is half what I make now 😅 Might be worth it if the perks are free games and suites 😜
