The balloon garland was extra… but so am I β¨
My manual dexterity took a big hit after the stroke, affecting my impeccable penmanship, my ability to open jars LOL, and apparently now tying balloons and looping them through a plastic garland strip, so Pammie helped me build this beauty. We were v surprised at how good it turned out – If you know Pammie, she’s not crafty at all and usually hates doing shit like this!

One thing about me: I donβt half ass anything – I always use my full ass πβπΌ
When I found out that BTS was live streaming their concert from Korea on their 13th anniversary (Festa), I knew I wanted to throw a watch party complete with a Korean spread (Korean fried chicken, japchae, Korean short ribs, tteokboki, Korean BBQ chicken, gimbap, Korean fish cakes, kimchi fried rice and BTS-related goodies – ARIH noodles, HY BTS Coffee, and BTS Oreos), and decorations *googles how to make a balloon garland*

Yes, I cricutted my dog a BTS shirt, and yes, he’s so tired of my shit π

My record player has been on the fritz since I moved from LA, and instead of figuring out what was wrong with it, I just bought a new one. When I set it up, I was having the same problem that my old one was having, so I found an easy solution on Reddit, and was able to fix the old turntable, too π I’m just gonna give the old one to Pammie instead of returning the new one bc nobody has time for that shit – I also regularly miss return windows on Amazon purchases even though I walk Milo past the UPS Store a block away every damn day. And I always order more than I need so that I can get faster shipping by spending $25+, and I always say, ‘I’ll just return the extra stuff,’ but I never return the extra stuff…
Get you a friend with a projector for the ultimate viewing experience (It’s me. I’m the friend.)

Christine brought us matchas and magazines – GQ and something akin to J-14 or BOP back in the day (IYKYK) π
Jessie brought soju, beer, and cucumber kimchi from her kimchi guy (yes, she has a kimchi guy and doesn’t buy it jarred at HMart like a normal person). She has quietly been a fan of all things Korean for years now, and is loving that Pammie and I are into BTS now. Her 23 and me results said she was 1% Korean and she has really leaned into that 1% π€£
We try to get together at least once a month to catch up on each other’s lives, but we’ve all been so busy, so besides Christine’s kids’ birthday party last month, it’s been a few months since we’ve gotten together.
Topics of conversation:
- who I’m (not) fucking
- workplace drama
- fights with husbands (to which I had nothing to contribute, ofc)
- marriages (Christine and her husband are renewing their vows this year and I’m excited to go bc I was living in LA when they first got married and wasn’t able to attend their wedding)
- divorces (yikes!)
- “p*ssy on a platter”
- JAM
Love these girls and love BTS π Happy Festa! π«°πΌ
