I’m having dinner with the girls tonight, and I went to Chel’s favorite bakery and bought us all chocolate croissants.
I didn’t realize how close it was to me – 2 blocks away! Chel had mentioned that the croissants were so good, but the area is sketch as fuck – it’s actually right next to a park that I googled when I got Milo when I was looking for safe places I can walk him (we walk to Petco Park instead). The amount of unhoused people I passed by in those two blocks was staggering 😳 I usually don’t mind homeless people just living their life on the streets, but these are the kind who shout profanities into the void and ask for money. I had my sunglasses and my headphones on, plus I was carrying my pepper spray, stun gun, and pocket knife – These are just things I always have on me when I walk Milo downtown 😅
Fuck, if it wasn’t the best croissant I’ve ever eaten, though 🤤
My favorite taco spot in LA is in the ghetto – My friend and I knew of this spot, bc we went to a taco festival in DTLA (we’re v serious about our tacos), and we picked the vendor with the longest line bc we figured they had the best tacos. It was so good, we went to where their food truck posts up in Boyle Heights. We heard gunshots as we exited the 5, and we were like, “This must be the place!” 😂
All that to say, your girl will risk her life for good food ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
