I ubered to Love Letters Pizza to meet Jess for happy hour before going to a show nearby at State. I got there a bit early, so the guy sat me down at a table for two while I perused the wine list. I noticed there was no one but couples in the resto, they weren’t playing the baseball game, and it was so quiet, you could hear a mouse fart. I think the guy thought I got stood up, bc he checked on me a few times. When Jess got there, she was like, ‘Yeah, it’s too quiet in here!’ We left and went to their sister bar up the street, Majorette, where they were showing the ballgame and we could cackle as loud as we want!

After some steak sandwiches, rosé and chisme, we ubered to SDSU and got there around 8:30pm. The show started @ 8:15, but there was supposed to be an opener we didn’t care for, so we thought we were early. I could hear the main act playing my favorite song from their new album, which is the third song into their set (I’m the kind of girl who googles the setlist before concerts). I told Jess, ‘There are 5 songs I want to hear.’ She guessed all of them right, the last one being ‘love.’ She was like, ‘But that’s the last song they play during the encore.’ And I was like, ‘Surprise. We’re staying till the end!’ 😆

Jess and Christine came up to LA for one of four BTS shows we went to a couple weeks ago (that I still have yet to recover from/blog about), so we had to manage expectations for this show.

A few observations: 

I expected it to be a chill ass show. We were seated front row center of the section behind the pit, so we stayed seated the entire time.

The crowd was young (which was to be expected bc the show was at SDSU), but the constant screaming was so unnecessary. Am I getting old? (Don’t answer that).

Has BTS ruined me for future concerts???
