It’s a superstition that eating 12 grapes under the table on New Year’s Eve will bring you the love of your life (at least according to Bretman Rock LOL. Christine also told me that it’s Filipino superstition that if I go to bed with my hair still wet from taking a shower, I’ll go blind LMAO, so IDK what to believe). Anyway, last New Year’s Eve, I ate 12 grapes under the table. And months went by. And I waited. And I waited. And the love of my life never came. And just as the year was about to come to an end, I received a text from this animal rescue in LA that my application was chosen. I have applied for several dogs there since I lived in LA, and I have never once been picked – competition is stiff up there (in all aspects of life!). 13th times a charm 😆

This pupper was rescued from a hoarding situation and perfect in every way – estimated only a year old (more potential years to share), mellow-tempered, and already potty trained. He was being fostered in West Hollywood, so I went up there to meet him, and the rest is history.
I miss the LA sunsets, but I def don’t miss the LA traffic – It’s 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. Why are we bumper to bumper???
He was so anxious the entire 2+ hour car ride home and didn’t sleep a wink. I got him this $200 orthopedic dog bed, and he just jumped right on my own bed when he got home and finally went to sleep. He knows he’s safe with me now 🥹

not for sleeping 😅 i moved it to the bathroom bc he always has to be near me, so he waited in there for a bit while i showered. when i was done though, i found him waiting in my room with a sticker stuck to his face lol. it was one i used to attach my gift tags for christmas, idk where he got it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ oddly enough, i found one of those stickers stuck to my body when i was showering lmao
