raechel and flex's wedding invitations

I had a craftastic evening with the bride-to-be and her bevy of bridesmaids. I finished the wedding invitations while the girls worked on the centerpieces. Check us out—designing invitations, hot gluing sticks together (or in Shi’s case, her hair), living in a personal hell I call diet and exercise in order to fit into our dresses… Being a bridesmaid is serious work! It’s a good thing I love this broad.

How did you do those wedding invites?! They’re beautiful – and very unique.

thanks so much! i’m a graphic designer, so i’m well-versed in photoshop. i cut the bride and groom out of one of their engagement photos, and layered images of sheet music, lace, and other design elements to make it look vintage. the font i used was traveling typewriter. we printed them all on the bride’s photo printer onto cream linen card stock, cut them up, rounded the corners, and attached all the pages together with a mini brass brad. it was the first wedding invitation i’ve ever designed, and hopefully not my last 🙂
